awwwww. my son was born and we had a pit. as my son grew up it was the best dog i have ever seen. he passed away 13 years ago. RIP
very beautiful dogs
I do like dogs usually smaller ones but those dogs just scare me. I love the muscular build they have.
I love those breeds. Idk why people think they are mean. Most I've sen are the friendlist dogs.
They are great dogs. The temperment is almost completely dependent on how the dog is raised and treated as well as socialized. Had pits all my life and bread them for awhile (blue pits) now I have a Cane Corso, similar looking but a lot bigger and more intimidating.

Gracie my 15 month old pit. She's the biggest diva and friendliest dog I've ever had. Had her since she was 5 weeks old

those are some really pretty and cool dogs. i know it is all about the raising training and temperment of a breed but i still couldnt own one. i would never have a pet that could kill me or be a liability due to it's breed. i still like them though
Ironically black labs are the #1 breed on the insurance risk list and there's one a few streets over that lives up to the rep. We were walking gracie this weekend and the lab was literally shaking the entire chain link fence trying to get out at us as he was growling and snarling. Last fall when gracie was about 3 months old the same dog was about to attack my dog. The owner was mowing his lawn and left the gate wide open and the dog out on the lawn. He had us cornered by a telephone pole and the guy wouldn't even get off his mower, just kept calling the dog to come back. Finally flipped open my knife and said if you don't come get your dog it's going to get hurt and he finally came and pulled him back to his yard and closed the gate.

i hear you on other breeds being as bad if not worse. hell even jack russels and poodles can tear your ass up but none of those dogs are solid muscle and other than soft tissue damage and a bad infection they arent going to get the best of you. your dog on the other hand, could tear someone up with a quickness lol cause they are beasts. it is up to the owner to do the right thing and i have a bull dog but a monster pit wont ever be a pet i own. my dog never comes out of my yard either and he doesnt like other animals, it is in his breed. the actual breeder even told us that if we didnt raise him with another pet then most likely he would try to kill any other animal we brought into the house. i guess my breed doesnt get along with other animals but does really good with people
Aweee they are so adorable.. Pits have a bad reputation but its not their fault its the people who train them and treat them thats guilty.
