Great article on the reality of the government's agenda
I hope some of you who are interested in politics will read this article. It is primarily about why Ron Paul will never be elected president, and why the Republican Party and news media despise him. This is very informative for anyone who doesn't realize how the political parties work. One many is striving to do everything the Republican Party claims to stand for and they want nothing to do with him.

Re: Great article on the reality of the government's agenda
Few quotes in this article I disagree with
1-In this report, I am making a point: the country is headed for a fiscal disaster, and there is no broad-based political movement inside the country to put on the brakes
THE REPUBLICANS AND TEA PARTIERS ARE MAKING A MOVE AND ARE GOING TO MAKE BIG TIME CUTS TO IMPROVE OUR COUNTRY BUT SO TO SAY THERE IS NOTHING BEING DONE IS JUST WRONG
QUOTE-
The voters are not aware that there is anything really wrong. They are once again running up credit card debt. They figure that happy days will soon be here again. Yet the deficit is $1.5 trillion. "No big problem!" Congress says. "Nothing that a $100 billion spending cut cannot solve."
THE VOTERS DO KNOW WHATS GOING ON NOW IN OUR COUNTRY MORE THEN EVER NOW AND IF THIS GUY WHO WROTE THIS ARTICLES SAYS-Nothing that a $100 billion spending cut cannot solve."HE SHOULD DIRECT THIS TO THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY BUT JUST DONT SAY IT LIKE ITS DIRECTED TO REPUBLICANS. I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE TWIST SHIT AROUND. YES THE REPUBLICANS WENT ON A SPENDING SPREE YERS AGO BUT THATS DONE AND OVER WITH. WE ARE HERE TODAY AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WILL GET STUFF DONE AND WILL PROVE IT.NOW IF THEY DONT THEN I WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AND RANT AND RAVE BUT FROM WHAT I HEAR AND READ THINGS SHOULD GET BETTER
QUOTE-IN THIS ARTICLE IT SAYS THE PEOPLE WANT MORE OF THE SAME,THIS IS JUST NOT TRUE ANYMORE,WE FORGET THAT CLINTOMDID FIX THE BUDGET AND REAGEN DID A AWESOME JOB ALSO AND IS ONE OF THE BEST PRESIDENTS TO MAKE OUR COUNTRY BETTER.

Fuzo, first off thanks for reading that article. I appreciate your comments. You do have some very valid points that I don't disagree with at all. I'd also like to point out that Gary North is a Christian Re-constructionist, holds a PhD in History, and writes about economics, history, and Christian Theology. He is a conservative and you can read more about him here if you like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_No...onstructionist)
Yes, many of the people are aware of the problem, but he is also correct that a large portion of the population is going right back to their old habits. The numbers don't lie. Basically that can be perceived in two ways, the economy is doing a little better, but people are going back to the same habits. Car sales are way up too I've read.
I think you are not giving the author credit that he is indeed a conservative and wants to see the budget and deficit really cut. $100 billion is nothing on a $14 trillion deficit. Another fact is that Boehner couldn't come up with any programs he would cut off hand, but when Paul has been asked he goes down a huge list. This is because Boehner is trying to appease everyone in his constituency and Paul does not care who pleases.
As for Reagan, you know I like Reagan I'm pretty sure. I would say he was the best president in our lifetimes and probably our parents' too. However, Reagan did not cut the size of the government, and instead increased the size of it significantly. Reagan himself even later said his biggest failure was not decreasing the size of government. Thus, I have to concur with the author when he says that no administration ever gets serious about cutting the budget.
You and I have agreed in the past on many things, and I think we still see eye to eye with only small differences. I don't believe a word that comes out of 90% of the politicians mouths. I think of them as liars with no principles whatsoever so why would I believe a word they say. I judge them by their actions not their rhetoric. They all speak a tough game but never follow through.
One other thing, North is a supporter of the Tea Party movement, let's remember that Ron Paul is often credited as the founder of the Tea Party. North just fears that the Tea Party will fall into the same trap Americans have fallen into in the past, trusting the party and then being betrayed.

i didn't read the article, i watched this on cpan
f-35 extra engine, military says it doesn't want, doesn't need, is just plain sickening
120 rebpubs voted against it, 130 for it
the believe that repubs want to be fiscially responsible are not supported by the facts

Are you just referring to something else that also has to do with spending and the budget?
I don't know what is so hard to get about this. Every administration in our lifetimes has expanded the size of the government, and every Republican administration has campaigned on shrinking the size. But here we are again listening to them talk about how things are going to be different now and that they will finally cut the deficit...lol. Yeah right! And even if they tried Obama wouldn't sign anything they propose that limits his spending, the same as Bush didn't veto anything the Republicans gave him. You have to sit back and laugh almost when you understand the facts of history. These people are all liars and thieves. I don't buy their bs anymore this time than in the past. Of course however, I do want to see them follow up on their promises, but I don't believe their rhetoric. Fuzo has a lot more optimism than me, especially considering mine is at 0%....lol. I can't help it though, the history is there to prove it, not to mention they are already defaulting on their promises. And do people really think $100 billion in cuts is anything that is going to help our fiscal crisis? Of course, I don't even think they have come up with that much have they? Let's see if the Austrian Economists are correct on the dollar. Many of them predict it will go bust, including Ron Paul. Also, let's not forget that the Austrians predicted the housing bubble five years before it happened and continued to warn others but nobody listened. For our country's sake I hope they are wrong about the dollar but their track record is pretty strong.
By the way, have you seen the protests in WI? Also, several of the middle eastern countries are protesting too. It seems that the problems of Europe are heading our way very soon.

This new engine has been in the works for awhile now and the speaker john said he is scrapping the engine to save money which in my idea is a good idea.
Re: Great article on the reality of the government's agenda
boehner voted for it
yeah, i saw WI, i also watched cris cristie yesterday, likeable guy, hell i'm a new jerseyite, i get his humor

I know and isn't it ridiculous that we always give money to dictators and they always swindle the money. We should not give money to dictators...period! Mubarak is having some of his accounts frozen though so he probably won't wind up with all of the money, but I doubt we'll get any of it back. I wish we would stop giving money to all foreign countries. It's not a burden we should take.
Re: Great article on the reality of the government's agenda
fuzo, boehner and cantor voted for it on tuesday, it failed, people are there actions
Re: Great article on the reality of the government's agenda
Yes he did but after he said let’s have a policy debate out in the open, on the House floor, and let the House work its will.”
Which he had to know that it wuld be shot down by the house on which it was.

This is what I mean when I say judge politicians by their actions and not their rhetoric. He probably voted for it because of lobbyists, just to show them that he at least tried to pass it even though he knew it probably would fail. Now I realize Boehner comes across as a good man, and maybe he is, but he is already becoming weak in terms of cutting the deficit. This is what I have always contended, that politicians DON"T EVER cut spending. They don't know how, they don't want to, and their too damn greedy to ever try. Lobbyists run our country since lobbyists pay for the votes. But Americans don't want the spending cut, they just talk like they do. You see, once you start cutting benefits or programs Americans like they complain. Some believe social programs should remain, others believe defense spending should remain, some believe environmental programs should remain, while others believe space research should continue, etc. Nothing will ever be cut and our currency will go broke. That is it in a nutshell. History has shown that you can't continue to spend money you don't have forever. The World Bank just this week was discussing replacing the U.S. dollar as the top currency. Once that happens you can expect very high inflation. The world is losing confidence in our dollar's strength and we still have politicians who can't simply stop the out of control spending and cut programs.
You can never go wrong when judging people by their actions, and voting records are the best indication of those actions.
Re: Great article on the reality of the government's agenda
it lost on the vote, but it was very close, when was the last time the repubs split a vote like this, the difference was ten votes
boehners job is too count votes and only bring shyte up that passes, this is a complete and total insult to him, he had zero choice but too cya
