Cool!! Man, I have got to get me some of those. Where is the best place to look?
The best way to go is build one yourself starting with a stripped lower. That is the part that is stamped and the only part that is actually considered the "gun" along with being the only part needing a background check...at least where I live. I built one chambered in the 6.5mm grendel round by alexander arms which requires all the same equipment except you need a 6.5mm bolt/carrier/barrel/magazine. This goes with any non-standard round in the ar-15 platform which there are actually quite a few such as 6.5mm/.50 Beowulf/6.8mm/9mm/.22lr/etc. After you have a complete lower you can buy multiple uppers(chambered different) and swap them as it only takes 2 seconds. You can actually build a cheap ar-15 for around 400 or so dollars. I personally went rock river arms internals for the lower, yankee hill free float handguard, ergo-grip, caa cheek rest, low profile back up iron sights(flip-up), oversized billet upper receiver, forgot what barrel. Anyhow, if you are wanting a scope for close quarters such as ~100 yards I would look into the eotech Holographic Weapon Sight. Check out the videos on youtube of them.
If you decide to build one price it out first though...maybe you can find a better deal on a whole setup...
Jipped, nice gun. I would throw an ergo-grip on it and you should be g2g. They are like 20 bucks and SO much better than the stock grip. Been wanting to get one like that due to it being lightweight/versatile. Mine is heavy and has an open side charging handle so not as immune to dust/dirt/etc. Not to mention ammo for mine is ****ing expensive. Also, if you ever decide that you want a better flash suppressor then I'd look into the vortex flash suppressor as from what I've read it works the best.
thats badass....i need to get a gun!!
Sweet rifle jipped!!
UTG makes very nice 4-side rail fore-ends for ARs. AK too, but...AR^ :) Just make sure it's aircraft grade/mil-spec aluminum. (The rails & other aftermarket mods.)
Very very nice!
Congrats!

i was going to build mine and found this one for about $100 cheaper than a build at impact guns
this is the CMMG M4LE
the specs on it are great. its basic but is a high quality piece at a budget price.
BTW the stock trigger is great. i may return the jewel i bought already. i guess i can put it in and try it before i do.
body builder: i have a millet red dot for it i already have. eotech is awesome but 2/3 what i paid for the gun. i will upgrade the glass eventually but for now the cheapy will have to do.
got a carry handle and will get a scope mount for the top of that. i do want tac rails up front for a flash light
that grendel is a beast. i chose the .556 not for its ballistics but it is cheaper to shoot. this rifle is not for home defense its for recreation.
With the carry handle
Where can I find info on what is what? Magazine? Website? I have never read up on them at all.
A jewel trigger won't really have any benefit on a non target rifle. If the stock trigger is good use the money for somethin else.
Ya, I don't blame you because the eotech is most definitely expensive as ****. Ya, that's the way to go if you plan on shooting it. Ammo for the grendel is not cheap for sure. Although, Hornady has some out for it now that is actually a really good price but sold out EVERYWHERE. Also, you can go down the road and buy ammo...I can't. I would imagine the 5.56 would suffice for home defense. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's the standard round that the US military uses.
Awesome gun! I love my AR! If you want to get anything for it I would recommend a Houge grip. I have one on mine. I think they make the best feeling grips that you can get. I bought a lower receiver for $70 and bought a complete upper kit for $550. It was 3 years ago but it only cost me $620 to build a complete AR. If you look on Gunbroker.com you can find a lot of people selling AR kits. I went with a Rock River Arms upper kit. They are winning a lot of government contracts because of their reliability and durability. I have been very happy with my purchase. An AR-15 is a very nice gun. I'm sure you will love it. Congrats on the new toy!
