So my baby girl is ready...
for pre-k. We went to meet her teacher today, along with the rest of her classmates and parents. I'm very comfortable with the school. It's a brand new school. This is the first year for the school too. It's nice. The teachers were very nice. My daughter is very excited! I was feeling a little worried about her, but after seeing her today around the other kids, and how into the classroom she was, I feel much better. She can't wait for Monday. I can't wait til she gets out Monday.
They grow up so fast.
We have to go get a few more things for school this weekend. I need to get her another pair of shoes. I still can't find one of the school color polos (for little girls). They gotta be girl style. ya know, fitted with the shorter sleeves etc...I also couldn't find any of the little pleated uniform skirts. Everywhere has been sold out for the last few weeks. We didn't get her notice of acceptance until about a month in-a-half ago. She would look so cute in those little skirts.
She's all set really. I'm just so picky. I was picky about my clothes, so I guess that's why I am with my girl.
Please wish (good luck) for HP's daughter on her beginning adventures of school.

YEP MY DAUGHTER IS GOING INTO KINDRGARDEN AND WE MET HER TEACHER AND EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE FINE. WE ARENT LETTING HER RIDE THE BUS YET,WHEN I'M READY I'LL FOLLOW THE BUS FOR AWHILE WHEN WE DO LET HER RIDE IT,LOL
Re: So my baby girl is ready...
yeah, I'm with ya on the bus thing. No bus ride for mine that I can see anywhere in the near future. We'll see. She'll definitely never walk any distance, like to and from the bus-stop.
There was a girl, in my last neighborhood. I know her mother. Her mom is just a few years older than me. Very attractive woman. She and her (now) ex-husband would let their 14-15yr old walk to and from the bus. Yes the neighborhood was okay. Yes I may be over-protective, but I wouldn't let my daughter walk like that. That girl would walk, by herself, everyday. And she was...how do I explain without sounding strange...she appeared very matured for her age...she just did not need to be walking alone. But I worry about my wife walking around with a friend.
Re: So my baby girl is ready...
mine rode the bus right away. they really wanted too. but, they also did daycare so they were used to going somewhere.
they grow fast guys.....it's unreal!!! one day she's your little pincess, the next day you dont even know who the fuk they are!!! those hormones are a mother fuker!!!
Re: So my baby girl is ready...
I constantly dread those days.^
I'm her "favorite daddy",lol...hero, and all that, right now. Her favorite thing is to go with me to the gym, or anywhere really. And she just loves for me to sit on the couch with her and watch movies. That's all she wants...daddy... I know that will all change before I know what happened.

I remember my daughters first day in kindergarden, Seems like yesterday. Now she is going into 6th grade in a couple days. It goes so fast you just try and catch as much as you can.
