Re: looking for tips and info
Location is a big key to it,is the area real busy. you dont want a gym where its not located to anything.you also dont want a huge gym but a good size. nothing but the state of the art equipment.make it where it both appeals to men and especialy women.
Re: looking for tips and info
yup, make it user friendly if you want mainstream gym members, or go dungeon style if you want hardcore weight trainers. or a mix of both to attract both groups.

If you are looking to do the new 24 hour gym thing - I recommend opening near a 24 grocery store is a nicely lit, heavily traveled area
Re: looking for tips and info

STRAY THERES NO MONEY IN THE BODYBUILDING POWERLIFTING GYM. IT HAS TO BE A FITNESS CENTER TYPE GYM A ALL AROUND GYM . IN TODAYS AGE PEOPLE ARE INTO HEALTH AND NUTRITION AND FITNESS. NOT MANY BB AND PL

i've actually thaught about that myself, and with the way realestate is up here, i can steal a lease somewhere to do it...there's NO hardcore lifting places here, but i believe there's a reason for that....no $ to be made!

Agreed and also I wonder if franchising is an option? May not be as much money in a franchise as owning your OWN gym, but less risk and more likely to make money
