flu shot
I get one every year. I got mine yesterday, Wednesday 11/7. They had preloaded shots this year. They were pretty cool little redijects, but I think the needle was about a 20ga. I've never had any side affects from the shot, but yesterday evening I was feeling pretty rough and went to bed early. It had to be around 7 at the latest. I woke up in the middle of the night around 1 a.m. with a temp over 100. I took some Alkaseltzer Plus Cold and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning feeling better than the midnight wakeup, but I haven't been 100% all day. Anybody else have bad reactions to the flu shot? Like I said, it's never affected me adversly at all. I did wake up yesterday morning with a scratchy throat and stuffy head. I know you're not supposed to get the flu shot if your sick but the nurse told me if I wasn't running a fever that it's all good.
I probably picked up the little stuffy head thing that my daughter had over the last several days and it somehow made the flu shot kick me in the ass for the first 24hrs. I'll still take that anyday over being down and out for a straight week with the flu.

Re: flu shot
I've never had a reaction to it. I got a bad cold is what the problem is. I feel like absolute ass right now. I just woke up feeling like someone worked me over with a bat and my nose was totally stopped up. uuuuuhhhhhhgggg. I got the bug from my daughter. What I don't understand is how in the hell she, at 3 years old, ran around like it was nothing. It isn't that bad during the day though, but when I've woke up in the middle of the night the past 2 nights...damn, it's like I been hit by a train.

Re: flu shot
I have had three flu shots and within 10days of getting the shots, I had a full blown case of the flu. Do not ever plan to get another one.
