first time at gym..
as most of ya know i'm home gymed. well, for 2006 i've made legs my priority, and i want some of the things a gym has to offer (i only got's so much room in the basement!!). so fridays is leg days, and yesturday was the first day at the gym. upon entering gym i noticed a few things...
1. in the town i live in there is not much to do on a friday night!! i couldnt believe how many younger guys (17-25 yr olds) was there.
2. they grow these kid's big around here!!! being "home gymed" i am clearly the biggest dude in the place....not there! these dude were pretty big...from the waist up. which brings us to....
3. leg machines must be wiped down for dust bunnies!! these boy's dont work legs. my legs suck, no question. i have no room to talk, but these guy's were worst than me. i was kinda intimidated when i first got there....new people, new place, big dude's. but as i watched 1 (and only 1) guy work legs, he was clearly bigger than i in the arms and shoulders, but was squating with 1-45lb plate and 1-25lb plate per side. i thaught maybe i caught him at the end (he was not sweating) or maybe warm up's, but as he finnished and moved on to hack squats, he used the same weight...
4. i think it was a good decission. i'm really feel excited about leg days...at least until tomarrow, when i cant walk!!!

Re: first time at gym..
I trained home and in a gym. The gym is by far the best place if there is not too much people in.
In my gym sometime I feel like the squat rack is mine... I'm nearly the only one to use it (at least to squat).
I went back in a gym to work my leg too... best decision I made.

Re: first time at gym..
Great to hear bra ! and I feel the same bout the squat rack, all mine. I point that out to my now ex's son, "geez mike, ya see how big that dude is"? I reply "yeah, but look at'em from the waist down, nothing there". Fine if you're in a wheel chair I suppose,..but now he knows and points it out whenever some dude comes walking by all puffed up. I think those guys are either hurt, dont know the form, or are half assed flat landers that wear long pants year round who just wanna have "big muscles" to impress some one. Keep it bra and knock'em dead !
