Does anyone else find it weird
That barely anybody @ their gym carries a log book? I don't see how people can memorize all their sets, reps, and mental notes for each exercise every time they do it! In fact I know they can;t most of the time they're GUESSING!! Im one of the 5 people at my gym that always carries a log book writing everythign down making sure I beat my log book every time, itsj ust strange that some people guess every time.

Same here....6-8 smaller groups/8-10 larger groups.
I also learned that when I'm bulking, to only go for 40 min +-. That combonation makes it easy to remember stuff.
*However I have always charted my goals several months in advance making minor changes weekly due to 'feel'. This is somewhat equivalent to a log book, thou, I guess. But I completely see what he's getting at. The average person is having to "dedicate" themselves in a different way than we do. It's more like a 'job' to them (thus they're more likely to forget); but to us it's a focus/driven-determination that makes us scared to let up.....Shiner

Nice one...LOL
Re: Does anyone else find it weird
I'm great with number but I still keep a log so I can see my progress. For instance, when I'm doing periodization training, it is essential to make sure I increase weight every week. If I come in slightly slugish or something I might short myself because I'm mentally thinkg 275 is what I want on bench but in actuallity I did 285 last time. It makes me concetrate on progress and I psyche myself up and put on 290. Had I not referenced the log, I might have sold myself short.
But that's me. Some guys and gals can keep it upstairs, but my job requires way too much new data in and out everyday, so the log makes my life a little more structured.

Not saying this applies to everyone but the majority of people at the gym that don't log their workouts...are the same size a year after year because they just don't progress. This has been my observation. I've been logging my workouts for years now. They are invaluable.
