Might just be a computer problem. I'm not a computer geek. But I do have my anti-virus and firewall programs. They have blocked that web site for the next 30 minutes.
Thought I'd pass it along
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
Your firewall just caught a "webbug". It is not a virus or hack. It is no big deal really. Their hosting company probably just runs it. They just track peoples surfing habits with bits of code.
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
That sucks. I switched to a wireless router and every geek I've talked too has told me that it's near imposible to get through wireless routers. And the geeks who can get through them, aren't going to go through all the time it would take unless they knew for sure what they could get. Best investment I've ever made. Dont get me wrong, I still get viruses, but I don't have to worry about hacks.
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
I had the same thing happen to me the other day, I think it was Friday.

those "geeks" are mistaken, or at best uninformed... it's actually easier to get in through wireless ;)
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
Gear is right - wireless isn't quite as secure, however, there are things that can be done to lock down a wireless network. The two biggest are changing the SSID of your network. An SSID is a "name" that you can make up yourself, and configure into your wireless router. What this does, is ensure that only hosts that have configured that "name" can have permission to access your network. Typically, there's a default set by the router manufacturer, which is something like "linksys" for a Linksys brand router.
The other thing that you can do, not in all routers, but in the better routers, is configure MAC addresses into the router. A MAC address is a "number" that is actually burned into the wireless card/port on your computer. It is a unique number that is nearly impossible to use brute force to guess. By listing them in your router, you're saying that only computers with that MAC address can have permission to access the network.
The combination of the two will pretty much keep your average, everyday hacker off of your network. That is, unless you have something extremely valuable to someone, and would justify some pretty extreme hacking methods on the part of the person(s) trying to hack into your computer ;)
Yikes!!! Clearly, I've had too much coffee this morning!
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
Lol...
Changing (or better yet hiding if your access point supports it) the SSID, enableing MAC authentication, and enableing 128bit WEP encryption will block 99.5% of all hacking attempts.
HOWEVER.. must people hook it up just like how it came out of the box. And then I wouldn't even call it hacking... more like "connecting".
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
ok, well there is no such thing as a "secure" wireless network. People like to think there is, but oh well. Hence the reason i haven't paid for internet for about 2 years.
and ... a SQL ping is not an attempted hack. Anything running MSSQL2000 or MYSQL will usually ping the host client or try to send a packet to test the hosting settings.
Re: superiormuscle.com has just tried to hack my computer!
"SECURE" IS SOMETHING THE INEXPERIANCED PC PLAYERS PAY FOR TO MAKE THEM FEEL GOOD. IF YOUR LOGGED IN YOUR BEING WATCHED BY SOMEONE SOMEWHERE WETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT(UNLESS YOUR A "GEEK" AND CAN DO SOMEYTHING ABOUT IT). I'LL LET THAT COMMENT OF "GEEKS" GO FOR NOW NO HARM DONE. "YET"
