got some new wheels
They are Weld Rodlites, fronts are 15 x 3.5"
I slowly collected disc brake parts (factory drums on front). I just bought one thing at a time from NAPA, rather than trying to salvage some junk from a junkyard. Had to machine my drum brake spindles in order to use them with disc brakes
more brake pics... The only thing that is not brand new on the front end is the coil springs. I bought Moroso "trick springs" for it, but can't install them till the motor is in, because there's no weight on the front end.
Yikes I got some body work to do!
front suspension/brakes...
one of my favorte body styles. what are you gonna use to power it ?
I have an iron-headed 468 and a powerglide with a transbrake. It's a pretty healthy roller motor. Gonna use it till I get the car beefed up, then I'll do some engine updates. The same motor went 6.00's (1/8 mile) in a 2800# car, so it's fairly stout.
you will be the mack daddy when it complete
Thanks Jackeypoo, but I already am!
yes you are brother
Lookin good! You can tell a tonne of work has gone into it already!
Man, you just wouldn't believe! I never would have dreamt I would have gone this far! I usually just get a car, build a motor for it, drop it in, and go, but I want something nice this time. I'll be keeping this one for a while!Quote:
