I will bump this.
It runs in my family, my Mother’s is so bad she’s been hospitalized...at an early age I learned food triggers and try my best to navigate them. The problem is the body changes and I truly believe pollution has a huge role in IBS.
You have to constantly change things. Years ago I learned gluten almost driving me to celiac disease but if I cut it all out the caused other problems...settle in a 20% gluten is ok for my system daily intake.
Latest for me is cheese. I fought off an adult allergy toward dairy when I moved away from the city years ago. I still don’t eat a lot of dairy at all but who doesn’t like cheese! Dam it now I can eat ZERO cheese. It totally kicks in IBS.
Also stress can kick IBS in bad.

doc told me if mine was ibs that i needed to consume more fiber. specifically soluable fiber not insoluable. says it balances the guts out and helps with the problem. they still dont have my issues ironed out completely though
My wife has it. L-glutamine, probiotics and fish oil has helped her. Just take the fish oil through out the day and not 3-4 caps at once. Also she swears ginger tea helps.
Psylum husk fiber. Peppermint oil can help. Following a low FODMAP diet helps a fuck load but can be difficult for people to handle. Also Codiene helps with spasms and pain etc... and for some intermittent fasting can help...also small food portions and eating every couple hours...basically stuff I've done for it and things my gastroenterologist has recommended.
