August and September are the spider months
Just read something this morning that said august and september are the two biggest months for spiders. I guess its mating season. I just smashed the biggest damn spider I saw crawling across the hardwood fool. I sprayed a bunch of raid this morning in the corners , but I guess Im going to have to fog the whole damn house now. Ugh. Out in the trees there are spider webs all over the place between trees. You have to be careful that you dont put your face into a giant web lol Anyone else been seeing a lot of spiders this year?
Re: August and September are the spider months
Bugs were nasty in my house this year. Always been a lot of bugs in the area I live in but this year for some reason they were helacious. I sprayed my house like I do multiple times per year and when I came back off of vacation for two weeks there was tons of dead bugs all over my house. Obviously the spray was working but for some reason they were just coming in in droves this year. Wolf spiders are the most abundant where I live.

We have had those webs on the bushes for years here. I have found about 8 large spiders in the house the past 2 weeks. I am the only one who seems to find them ,lol. that cat is a big help too. I took a pic of one and it had this pointy bottom and bulging eyes....ewww

Yep we get wolf spiders bad in my area too. Hate those things. Funny thing about wolf spiders is you can see their eyes in the yard at night if you shine a light just right. Creepy looking.
Re: August and September are the spider months
We have black widows but don't see them too often. Scorpions are the problem where I live. Once I was using the bathroom and looked down and saw a scorpion right in from of my foot. I beat that thing to death with a broom stick. I'm a wimp when it comes to spiders and scorpions, not the type to run away but I just freak out until I kill it so that I know its gone. I can't sleep if I know a spider is around..lol, so I guess I do have a phobia with them.

Man, I don't know what's worse.... Spiders or scorpions. I hate them both lol.
Re: August and September are the spider months
Screw all creepy crawly things that bite or sting.

That must have been painful. What did the doc do to treat it?
Re: August and September are the spider months
I just seen this.. sorry man. they took a culture of the puss coming out and put my on a strong antibiotic. It had started to tunnel up to my elbow and down to my wrist. so theu lanced open the bite site and numbed me up and stuck forceps inside the wound and pulled out chunks of infection, then packed it with gauze to let it breath and help my body fight it off.
Re: August and September are the spider months
So true done spider problems are keeping me busy as hell and working late.
