Re: Arthritis in shoulder
Well the docs may suggest a scoep? MRIS can only show so much but they can actually see how much is in there if they scope it. Hope some peeps have some answers for you here. Not sure how supps can help but training modifications can help.Good luck.
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
I don't think there is any way to reverse it unfortunately just keep it from progressing and getting inflamed any more.
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
I'll learn more Friday. Tb500 is supposed to be for inflammation. Still want to wait to see what more if anything can be done.
OH press with 50lb db kills me. Might be able to get a rep in before pain is too much.
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
I've got it in my hands. I just take alot of aleeve and try to rest when it hurts.
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
Well I can tell you I just had a 1 hr and 45minute scoping surgery
Back on Wednesday 16lth.
The MRI Made it look like I had a doz problems.
The doc said he wish there was more of a repair.
So he scoped the shit out of all the arthritis he could
find.
I'm rehabbing it now. Range of motion is getting better
It is a bit ouchy at the moment.
However just like rust arthritis never sleeps
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
Think everyone ends up with arthritis somewhere when they get older
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
Well, in my case I have been dealing with it for about 2 years. Had a few shots in there did not help. Last year I was competing so sucked it up.
This year I had some CTS isssue and have it fixed. Was starting to max my deductiableso figured now it was time to do something. I have been only doing laterial raises for the last year and half to maintain my delts. It has worked fine. I will never over head press again. With chest and back work takes care of the rest of the delt really.
So, I have had 4 PT session. Yesterday, the chic really really pushed this shoulder way past where I could have gone alone. Sore all day. But thats what I need. The doc cleared the way. Now I have to keep getting back to where he had me when I was on the table.
I will say this. Where ever you are today. Tomorrow will not be better. I take Valtairn to help with inflamation. No pain meds. My goal is to get this mother rehab. Get my training back on point and back to the stage mid 2014. At 52 I still have the look. I need a solid goal and standing on stage in what amounts to your birthday suit should do the trick.
Best of luck.
Ask me any questions,
GC
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
To paraphrase the discussion,
"...arthritis of the acromioclavicular joint. You may be a candidate for shoulder arthroscopy consisting of distal clavicle excision."
Seems to be a lot of good things I've read about this. Going to put me down for some time though. Thinking I will give it a few weeks to think it over. I can dead lift and squat, cannot bench or do any OH pressing. Even hurts to remove my hoodie.

What options might I look at? HGH? TB500? I'm open to anything.
Sorry to hear that bro. Hope it all works out for you. How many cortisone shots did you get in your shoulders?
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
One in each shoulder. Right shoulder is about 80% to normal and left is maybe 30% to normal.
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
So superfast you have no questions for me?

Fuzo has had one of his shoulders done twice and the other once, with clavicle excision in both also. Over ten years ago and his shoulders are GREAT now. He did modify some training things he does with the suggestions of his sports med ortho doc. The shots did nothing for him but the work for some.

Just been reading not quite in question mode yet.
Wondering if HGH would speed up recovery time.
Re: Arthritis in shoulder
Fighting shoulder injuries myself, and wondering the same thing.
I hope someone who's tried it for these injuries will chime in as well.
