UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
Nate Diaz def. Conor McGregor via submission (RNC) (2nd, 4:12) Incredible! McGregor is not invincible. I did not think Nate would have the power to hurt him. then on the ground Nate went through connor like a knife through hot butter
Miesha Tate def. Holly Holm via submission (RNC) (R5, 3:30) Clutch win. Miesha was getting beat on the feet with ease. she got holly down in the second and dominate but the 3rd and 4th she could not even get close. a desperation shot and crazy scramble lead to her victory. Congrats to Miesha, she earned it
Ilir Latifi def. Gian Villante via unanimous decision
Corey Anderson def. Tom Lawlor via unanimous decision bad decision
Amanda Nunes def. Valentina Shevchenko via unanimous decision corect decision but the 2 judges that scored it 30-27 for nunes should be fired, she was on her back being punched and elbowed. how can you win in that case?
Re: UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
Conor won the 1st and part of the 2nd until nate got those jabs in and conor even said his enrgy at 170 was draining. He didn't make any excuses but I would of like to see nate come down to 155 then lets see but nate knew he couldn't and conor as a man of his word got the fight at 170 and with some ajustments can be a 170lb but he will defend and beat Frankie at 145 then move up.So nate didn't impress me conor didn't adjust to a full 170lb fight when nate came in at peobably 185 he was clearly the bigger man.No excuses nate won but who knows if nate would of won at 155 wich he did ***** out of and said I couldn't make 155 160 165

come on, connor moved up 2 weight classes. nate has fought 170 before. nate got smashed up until conor ran our of juice and got caught. and once nate is on top he was done
Re: UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
Yep, Connor would have done better to fight Diaz at 155 even if Diaz weighed 170. Connor gained nothing by adding 25 pounds of water and fat. He looked slow, sluggish and out of shape. Foolish and arrogant attempt to prove nothing in a fight that meant nothing for his career. Anyone who bodybuilds or knows anything about training knows that Connor did not put on much if any true muscle mass in that weight climb. I like Connor and hope he finds more success at his true weight.

Agreed...I am happy Connor got a slice of humble pie from Nate, he got beat end of story. Great job to Meisha as well, she deserves it...Holly got caught by a veteran in the sport...as well as Connor.
Re: UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
I got a chance to watch this. I was glad Connor lost...I hate arrogant POS.
Re: UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
I had a feeling nate was gonna win. Within one minute I knew conor was gonna gas. He was throwing his shows 100% and you cannot keep that up for long.
I wasn't so sure nate could eat those shots though!
If Conor wants to be dominant he has to top off his weight class at 155. He'll never be top tier at 170, no freaking way.

agree, nate asked for a catch weight at 165 but connor wanted 170, bit his in the ass
Re: UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
so do they have to land right at 170 or can they come in lighter? like body building a heavy can be 198 1/4 to 225 1/4/. so is their any play in where you weigh in at? also dont make freaking excuses. you accept the fight and you know your own strengths and weaknesses. if you think the added bulk is going to slow you down or hinder your cardio, then dont move up. it's pretty simple to me. i said the same thing for rhonda moving up to fight ccyborg. why in the hell as a champ would you move up in weight when you dominate where you are currently at? no excuses and if you agree for something specific then train to be your best but as always fight to your strengths and dont compromise on those or you will lose
Re: UFC tonight, WOW! ***RESULTS***
Plus Connor has no ground game to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, I am sure many fighters and camps have just done some dissection of Connors game and are building game plans around his weaknesses from this past weekend. Yeah sure he didn't have the conditioning at 170, but he also didn't need to drop water or cut weight...he was as fresh as fresh can be. He lost plain and simple to a veteran of the sport and Nate has no reason to fight Connor again either, he beat him...done!!!

Oh I dont think we will see Connor back to fight Diaz anytime soon. It would take a huge increase in strength on Connors part to compete with the power of Diaz. Now I am not saying Diaz is a powerhouse by anymeans but he is a true 170 pound fighter. Connor pretended to be and it cost him. I disagree with the fresh part in a sense. Connor was not fresh. If I put on a bunch of weight to fight two classes higher and gained no more power out of it, I would not feel fresh. I would feel like a slug (like how Connor looked.) No he did not have to drop water or cut, but it can be said that the weight gain was just as much a disadvantage. Now that is no excuse, its what Connor wanted. I stated in another thread he was foolish for thinking he could do this. It would take a good year of solid training and diet to move up two weight classes and adjust to the change. Then you have time to asses your power, conditioning, and get a base point. Connor had no clue what he was getting in to.

They said Connor walks around at 168, cuts down to fight at 145...but to fight Dos Anjos he had to come in at 155, so when Diaz took the fight at 11 days notice then Connor didn't have to cut. Then you think how long does he need to cut? He didn't have that much time either way to put on weight nor cut it. There are many variables indeed, but bottom line is...he lost, and I enjoyed seeing our Stockton Bad Boy be the one to serve him his humble pie.

that is the weight he starts at before cutting. mid 160s. he just did not go through the cut and weighed in at 168 i think. her was supposed to fight at 155 but when that fell through with RDA and he found out he was fighting Nate who is a 155'r he could just fight at 170 and not have to cut the day before.
he just panicked. he competed 2 weight classes above his own. nate has been at 170 before. did not do well but he knew what to expect. connor did not
