haha, it'll be a nice saturday until he finds out theres been water going through the grout cracks and down to his sub-floor, soaking it and rotting it. Then he'll have to replace that, but, before that he'll have to replaced the cracked trusses bc it's been two years of being wet and now they are rotten as well. Then, the worst of all happens and he finds mold under his house bc the ground has been wet for two years and it's been growing like crazy!

Oh man Fuzo do I know what your talking about. Everytime I take on a project here it takes 10x longer than normal because the previous owner was a moron!

I just started remodeling my bathroom and got a cherry cabinet, granite top, with one of those beautiful surface mount bowls. It looks great but is a pain to get the drain hooked up without dripping. I added a matching mirror, repainted, added a new toilet (one that is elongated so my d@ck doesn't hit the front, all you other blessed guys know what I'm talking about) and tiled. It's worth the hard work but damn to problems always arise!!!

my wife is the one that did our tiles. did a kickazz job. a few pointers if you didn't already know.........

                1. if you putting tiles on the wall or on top of a wood surface make sure to use cement board under it.

                2. Make sure you put mortar not only on the surface your tiling, but cover every square inch of the tile itself. This will make sure the surface has a better bond.

                3. Don't walk on it prematurely.

                4. if possible put weights on all your tiles so if your floor is off level it will add the proper pressure to ensure they don't rock and crack after they dry.

                Hope this helps fuzo....
