Here is the flaw with the machine: the frequency is trasported through your body's water. The more fat you have, the slower the time it will take. However, if your water % is high, or low, that will significanlty throw off the calculation. Many people use theirs at the same time of the day, like moring and they judge their progress that way. However, this too is still inaccurate because if you drank to much or to few liquids the day before it will throw it off. The bottom line is unless you can consume the exact same amount of food and liquids everyday this machine will never be as accurate as the calipers, which are still very inferior to the hydro tank. That is the only 100% accuarte way to measure bf.
With that said, here's an easier way to keep up with body fat progress. Take one place, preferably the spot between your hip and belly button and measure that once a week, or month, or whatever. Since men lose bf on their midsection last, this is the best place to grade your progress. If the caliper decreases every time you measure, you are making progress. In addition to that, I would do a tape measure around your belly button with a relaxed stomach first thing in the morning. Do this once a month. If the inches with your stomach go down while relaxed, you are losing bf.
That's my 2 cents
