It is looking like war with Iran is inevitable, and possibly Syria too. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact it will have on our economy. This will be nothing like the wars with Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran is a much larger country with a much larger military, which actually has an air force. I don't think we will have a problem defeating them, but I fear it will be far worse economically for us and the world as a whole. It's a darn shame that during the economic crisis the world faces we are also at war with several countries. Fortunately for us the rest of the sovereign nations have economic problems as bad or worse than ours, thus permitting our currency to remain somewhat strong compared to the rest. Let's hope 2012 brings some fiscal responsibility for our country. We have to get the spending under control soon or the dollar is going to have some very weak times ahead.
