Better MMA BJJ: BJ or Diaz
So on another board we are debating who has the better MMA BJJ between Nick and BJ. Now you all know that I am huge BJ fan. But IMO, as good as he is in BJJ, he hasn't done anything in MMA that shows me he is better than Nick. Nick has more submissions with less fights. BJ does great when he has the back, but other than that, he just doesn't stand out.
I know, I know, I used to think BJ had the best BJJ in MMA. And he might if they were to have a BJJ tournament, but looking back, he hasn't been otherworldly in his MMA fights.
Thoughts??
Re: Better MMA BJJ: BJ or Diaz
Honestly you cant single out anyone with anyone style- NO POSSIBLE WAY. Every movement is a hybird expression of what they know, both have ways of displaying the same moves and variations. You can only argue who is a better fighter in the ring, so the whole arguement is moot othrwise
Re: Better MMA BJJ: BJ or Diaz
True.....I didn't think that deep into it.
Re: Better MMA BJJ: BJ or Diaz
SO WHO REALLY IS BETTER IN THE RING- TO BE OR NOT TO BE IN THE RING THAT IS THE QUESTION LOL
Re: Better MMA BJJ: BJ or Diaz
this fight will end up being a Muay Thai match with some clench. i dont think BJJ will come into play.

nick will use his superior reach and jab the crap out of BJ and if BJ gets inside he will try to clench up and use knees. neither guy is afraid of anything the other posses. i just hope its not a snooze fest

I see BJ trying multiple takedowns. He has been working with Hughes since before the Fitch fight. BJ taking Nick down would be a surprising part of BJ's game.
