Tweetbumped up
I wish I knew. I haven't a clue about that.
TweetI have a bit of a dilema and I hope to get it straight. My finances aren't looking too good and I'm not sure if I'll be able to go to the meet in april. The set up is this; the meet is an hour and half drive away, the cost is 89 per night x2, fee I believe is 30,and I think they want 30 per lift.I was hoping to get it all in,but it doesn't look good for that.I'm also thinking of waiting until a closer one comes up.My question is, is this the standard cost for meets? Thanks for any advice,God bless
TweetThanks horsepwr, I'm pretty bummed out by it, but hey what ya gonna do? It is what it is. I'll keep working on getting stronger and maybe in the future I'll get my chance. All part of being grown up. Still sucks though.
TweetThat is somewhat steep, but i see you and i are both from Ohio! The better run meets are usually a lil higher in fees. They are paying folks, prizes, etc. They do the pay per lift for 2 reasons that i know of,1 is because alot of guys specialize in one of the lifts only and2 it weeds out the goofballs who show up and take up time and are just there throwing weights around. The better meets only want serious lifters
TweetThanks doink, I did'nt even think of it that way! That does make sense, unfortunately. It's ok, I'll just save up and get to one next year.I'm bummed about it but I'll get over it.Hey I look at it this way I'll be stronger for sure! God willing and the creek don't rise! I still have my sense of humor! Thanks again!!
