Don't get me wrong, that's a lot of weight. But, if I had a 60 inch waistline and only had to lower the bar 6 or 7 inches to touch my rib cage I could push a hell of a lot mor than I do. Let's see tha fat ass lose 10 inches off his waist and then try that. No phukin way. I guarantee if he wasn't so damn fat he couldn't get that off his chest because he would have a lot farther to go. It's like the guy who squats 900 but he's only 5'4". Well, gee whiz, the weight doesn't have to travel as far as some guy who is 6' tall. The farther the bar travels the longer you have to hold it. Some of these guys are so damn fat that their bench press moves about as much as my partial reps. And on my partials I don't have a big fat belly to rest the bar on, I have to hold the bar the whole time. However, again, let me say, that's a lot of weight but I'd be more impressed if he was in better shape and actually had to lower the bar more than 6 or 7 inches. IMO
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

t-man....i gotta respect anybody who gets under 965...period. in fact rychlak has come back to go over 1000lbs on the bench..with a pause, in a meet. let's not throw stones at someone who is overweight...thats a difference between hardcore PL'ers and BB'ers....PL'ers dont care about their health, only how much weight they push one time...hardcore BB'ers dont care about their health, only how they look.
