TweetI have a quick question is 116 points on the wilks calculator for raw benching a good #? I am competing in a bench only contest in about 3 weeks and they are using the wilks point system instead of weight class I put up 425 fairly easy today at 225 bodyweight.
TweetMy bench score last bench only competition I did was 126.3 it was a fairly small local contest but that landed me first place by a long shot so I would think 116 would be a good score bro.
TweetI'm going to assume that one third of the weight in the chart would be a fairly accurate measure for each lifts score though. I.e 116 would put you in the advanced category and that sounds right to me for your weight vs max. 425@225 is a strong lift.
Tweetthanks man i didnt have very much time getting ready for this little meet but your post gives me more confidence. I might be able to get up a few more pounds but that was pretty damn close to all i got lol.
TweetI think you are going to do very well bro, keep me updated on how it's going and good luck with the comp brother!!
TweetThanks man I will definitely hit you up
TweetJust a update took first place with a 445lb bench at 225lb body weight
TweetThat is awesome brother!! Very nice and congrats!
TweetI bet you smashed the comp by wilks score!?
Tweetclosest was a guy who benched the same as me but he outweighed me by 40lb it was fun i haven't competed for a very long time and regardless if i won first or last it was awesome.
