TweetAs Hulk Hogan used to preach during his championship reign, I trained hard, said my prayers, and took my vitamins (all right, among other things). But something was wrong.
As most of you may know, I train with Scot Mendelson on his powerlifting team and have been for a few months. I train 2-3 nights a week but lately, I've been leaving training early from being damn sluggish. I just felt weak and tired most of the time. I even thought that I may not be mentally focused enough to do the APF Powerlifting Raw Challenge next weekend. Scot suggested that my diet may not be the greatest so it's something that I'll be working on.
Fortunately, I've been feeling a bit better this week and my training has been going great. I assumed that my sluggishness was due to lack of rest. I often get home from work, rest for a couple of hours (if that), go train, then leave for work where I will sleep in my truck for a few hours before punching in for work.
If any of you guys are in the California area, feel free to pass over at 1 Stop Gym in Chatsworth on May 12th to witness the challenge. I will be competing, along with Scot's 15 year old daughter, Jade. And let me tell you, the Mendelson family are amazing.
TweetSounds awesome bro! Good youre feelin better. Good luck. I wish all powerlifting was raw! Reminds me of the good ol days before all these multi ply suits, bench shirts, and all the other stuff
