Reading all the fast food threads made me think of this book I read a while ago, "Fast Food Nation." It's really interesting and a very quick read. Have any of you read it? It would probably make you not want to eat fast food again, at least for a while. Now the only fast food place I go to is Baja Fresh, unless I'm hammered, in which case I don't care nearly as much.

Oh yeah, I eat a shit load of In-n-Out whenever I go back home, but even the author conceded that is a quality place. Not only are the health aspects of these places an issue, but their corporate practices are repulsive. Check out the book if you have a few spare hours.

When you think about your salad, think about the toxic waste that was dumped near your lettuce and all the insecticide used.

When you eat your hamburgar or chicken, think of the polluted air they have breathed and all the hormones pumped into them.,

Haha...no point to this. Just that its prob near impossible to get perfect food these days.

I actually grow my own veggies in my garden!! So I know they don't have all that shit in them and I order meat from sources that I know the animals have been only fed organic feed and they are raised in free range enviroments where they can roam around and be muscular and lean and not confined to a small cage where they get fatty and disgusting. So ~!!!

Oh ya...do you know whats in your dirt? Is it possible a worm has migrated from your neighbors yard and pooed out toxic doo?

Do you use only pure de ionized water?

      Do you use fertilizer?

What about when it rains on them?

The meat...what about the air they breathe? Are they hooked up on O2 tanks

I know what your saying though. You get it as clean as you can.

I learned something in my 7th grade science project that Ill never forget.

I took two batches of corn. 1 batch I sealed up in a perfect environment, perfect conditions such as temp, soil content, O2, etc and the other I just threw in the back yard.

Guess which one was better? The one exposed to the harsh elements. My final conclusion was this, sometimes being exposed to harsh or harmfull things can make a stronger, more fruitful product.

McD's is over kill though haha

Give me a break, bro!! This is a little over board!! I wasn't asking for a crash course in nutrition. I know all this already. I was merely trying to make a distinction between refined processed junk(fast food)and whole natural foods such as vegetables and fruit and better sources of protein. I don't even think there is a comparison. LOL!!!!!!!
