TweetYou guys use one? I hate having a workout partner bc it slows me down. I invited my cousin (who's a cheap bastard) to come with me to my gym since my membership allows guests to check it out. Well I guess he takes that as an invitation to be my workout partner. So now he comes every ef'n day and slows my workouts to a crawl bc he talks, he takes too long to lift, and he is half as strong as me so unloads all my plates and reloads. FML. Maybe I'm a grouch but damn do I regret making that offer. I'm tempted to cancel my membership so he cant come anymore and go down to the level below with no guests. I really thought he would come check it out, join up and do his own thing!!!

Tweetif your gonna use a partner you need to be very evenly matched with the same goals. When that happens great things can take place. When those aren't in line i would rather workout by myself which is what i do since i lost the one and only workout partner i have ever had or trusted when i moved
Tweetya thts wht I've been doing. like when he gets there I say tight in time double speed today. he still talks, takes too long, etc and of course needing to remove my plates takes time. ahhhh frustrating!
Tweetya man having the same intensity would help, but im just a solo type personality.
TweetI love having one keeps me motivated and I seem to not want to skip steps or shorten my workout. But my constantly changing schedule usually messes that up for me.

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
TweetYears back, before I had kids, I had a partner. After a while with a partner I started to rely on him too much and, when he couldn't make a session, my workouts suffered. Best thing to happen was when we broke up. Yes, to this guy, it was like we were breaking up as a couple. When i had kids, my training scheduled moved to as early in the day as possible as opposed to evenings. This way and after work, I go home and spend time with the family.
TweetHaving a workout partner sucks. When it comes time to stop or change, people get their feelings hurt. Screw that. Train alone.
TweetI've burned through a lot of workout partners over the years. I tend to stay solo now. I get some of my greatest workouts by myself.
Tweeti'm a loner
