O2, you know her better than anyone probably. Sounds like youre trying to keep it light and not explode into a major issue. Is your wife a person who creates drama in order to feel a certain way? I know, its complicated.
The saddest part, is when you know in your heart you are not cheating and she doesnt want to believe you. I dont know how your wifes brain is programmed and conditioned. How have her experience shaped her behavior. She is getting some kind of need met by being jealous. You said she "went off the deep end". Man, I feel bad for you. You sure dont deserve that. If she has a belief system that all men are cheaters, then that is a very very hard belief system to deal with. It is how their brain works. Can a person change? Thats the BIG question. People can, and I sure hope for your sake, she can come to terms with her bad behavior and stop making life un-fun. What sucks about it, is it is all for NOTHING. Nothing. Such a waste.

If she is jealous, that is actually a problem that she has within herself, and I would just say to reassure her. Sometimes after couples are married for awhile, women feel that their husbands don't look or pay attention to them much. They may notice you looking at other women, or even may think you are treating other women better than you are treating them. She is at the age where things are changing a lot and she has already been through so much in the past 5 years.
