TweetSheesh do we live in the same area? I have 3 memberships and 2 of the three are closed cuz of no power
TweetMy gym has been closed since last Sunday due to the hurricane that came through. The power has been out and the lot is flooded. Many roads and stores are closed due to the same so its not their fault.
Whats pisses me off is that the other gym in the area raised their daily workout prices to $25. WTF is up with that? Our gym closed so your going to rape us financially cause we cant workout??
Let me ask your opinion. I pay a monthly fee to workout there. So, since my gym is closed with no opening in sight, should i expect a credit of some sort?

TweetThis happened to me when the Metairie, La. Gold's Gym closed without any warnings.
First thing first, if your gym debits your credit card or bank account, REMOVE THEM FROM IT ASADP! Most gyms have the tendancy of swiping money from their members' accounts eventhough they're closed.
If you're fortunate to pay monthly on your own (as it was back in da day), then when the gym reopens, ask the owner or manager about crediting you for the time they were closed.
TweetOpened yesterday. However, in the meantime, this closing gave me an opportunity to train elsewhere. Tell you, my past few workouts were great. Always are when i'm at a new gym and the meatheads there give me attitude cuase i come in as the new dog on the block. I thrive on that attitude....
