What other stories? I said I read journals and papers written by economists. Sure I also read books like Human Action and other Austrian books, but again, these are written by economists that I feel know what they're talking about. Hardly would call it noise if written by a reputable economist who includes his own research and sources for everything. Noise is the books written by talking heads from TV who don't do any research. Let's not confuse the two. Most people wouldn't be able to even comprehend a book like Human Action without first studying economics at an entry and intermediate level. But bottom line is I don't trust the government, nor do I believe they know what the heck they're talking about. Why does some politician who got elected from a rich campaign know any more than I do about economics and history. Come on. Half these idiots have law degrees and don't care anything about economics. You say I trust Ron Paul. Of course I do. The man dedicates his life to understanding economics and liberty and writes many articles and books on the subjects. I side with the Austrians. We are two different breeds Trip. I care not what the government says and believe 95% of them are corrupt.
fuzo, listening does not mean agreeing
js, noise is using zimbabwa to support a believe system, 100's of those type of articles come our way everyday, 99% are wishes, wish pieces, i read them because 1% of those articles can have a grain of truth that I value
"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach."

"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

What I am referring to is an article I read which quotes the head of the Central Bank and Finance Minister of Zimbabwe. They believe the U.S. dollar is not a sufficient base currency any longer, and expect the world to move to a gold standard.

But I agree that a lot of what we read is noise. I just thought you were referring to books and journals I read. I filter through the noise and take it for what it's worth.
I have that second quote on my website under the "quotes" section. Good one. But it requires thinking outside of the box to understand the difference between propaganda and factual information. Propaganda is intended to distort. All governments of the world are guilty of it. The wars are based off of propaganda, as well as the Patriot Act, and just about every other rights infringing law. Sadly most people don't know how to think outside of the box. Instead they accept everything they hear from the government, elitist professors, and large corporations as facts.
