on sunday talk show he said he wants an economy and job production like Texas

for 7 years all he talked about was irelands low tax rates, ireland is a big complete mess, they have pledged all the countries pension funds to get a loan from the imf, u haven't heard one republican talk abour low tax rates for ireland in a year, it would be insane to do so

texas has ZERO INCOME TAX, in 1906 when spindle top was discovered and the age of abundant oil came to be, texas put a tax on all oil in texas, we get a piece of every piece of oil produced, it is used to support all publically funded colleges, and thus it was deemed we didn't need an income tax

we have been using mexican labor forever, we probably have largest illegal immigration population in the USA

imho, it shows to me he really doesn't understand economic issues

TweetI think Paul will do well in raising money and will win over a lot of the youth as well as the military. He will probably break some records with raising money from true grassroots efforts, as well as from individuals, not corporations like the rest of them rely on. He won't get much from corps though, only those few that have Libertarian owners/CEOs, and maybe the Koch brothers, unless they are hypocrites. He will not win the nomination though, not even if every single person in the country wanted him, because as I've said many times before, you have to be corrupt to receive it.

The Republican's reception of Newt, or lack thereof has surprised the heck out of me. I had this one all wrong. I thought they would go crazy over him, but instead the only person doing that is Sean Hannity....surprise, surprise. Newt made a couple major goofs in his speaking and I think those will haunt him. Fuzo buddy I know you think those will blow over but like someone on Fox said the other night, it is on tape and the media will use it against him. I am not the biggest fan of Krauthammer but he is right more often than any other talking heads I've seen. If he says Newt hasn't a chance, then at best he would have a slim chance. Even Donald Trump, whom doesn't care for Krauthammer, said he based his decision in part from Krauthammer not supporting him at all. Trump said like him or hate him, the party does tend to listen to him, and that he has a lot of power within the party. But I really thought Newt would do better. Another point mentioned on Fox the other day was that Newt will not be able to raise much money. I never thought about that and am not sure why, but they may have a point. I'd say the necons will have to look to Tim Pawlenty and/or Mitt Romney, and between the two I prefer Tim Pawlenty. I honestly believe that Paul would blow Obama away if the Republican Party supported him completely but that won't happen. Though I will never understand why Republicans don't like a man who has stuck to his principles for his entire career. Who cares if he has a couple of views that they don't like, there are no perfect candidates that you can agree with 100% of the time unless you believe in socialism, because both Dems and Repubs dabble in it to some extent. And if Republicans really like limited government than Paul's their man. But then you realize that hardly anyone stands for limited government. We live in a world of collectivists in which individualists are becoming a dying breed. People are coming to like the government taking care of them from cradle to grave. It's a dangerous path but one that does not seem to have an exit.

Tweethere's the thing with ron paul, u can call him looney, say he's out of touch or whatever

yet, he's been thru the political wringer for 30 years, he's got as far as we know, no skeletons, a 40 yr marriage and a bona fide track record of consistency over decades on freedom and the constitution

what i'm looking for is a sentiment shift of the majority of americans about, what the heck is freedom, now ron paul owns this outright

so, can the discussion go his way, and can he message properly for a long time

imho, he can, he's getting major league coaching, of this i have no doubt

the question is why would we question freedom?

because the last sentiment shift was, change we can believe it, and imho no one is near satisfied with that one, every ones got there bones to pick and they are all legitimate

so, we just watch and wait

my big bet is people are way more angry than most realize, and the people will be out to pulverize all politicians, and paul will be pulverized the least

if these continue downward, u will have a myriad of problems, this encompasses a brief look at 3/4's of the nation, the only location not represented is north east

I hope you're right. Not just because I support Ron Paul, but because it would restore some confidence for me in the political system. However, my belief is still that Ron Paul can't win the nomination due to not being corrupt. That's how the system works unfortunately.
