TweetThere are times in life when we need simple pain relief. Oftentimes, Doctors just do NOT understand severe pain. Often they act like youre some kinda junkie looking for a quick fix to your addiction...some Drs will give you 20 vicodin and a good luck salute out the door. The worst part is if you have a high tolerance to pain killers. Thats my problem. I was in so much pain and I was having to double the dose on percocets before they even touched the pain. So, I end up needing more percocet way before I should have, then they act like your some kind of junkie. I went to the ER and some PA told me i was just a junkie looking to score...I finally got a real Dr in the room who I could talk sense to. I filed a complaint with the hospital and asked that this dude be disciplined for insulting me...I only needed the pain pills for about 5 days and I never took another one after that.
One time I had ankle surgery and after about 2 days the doctor says "You have had enough Vicodin, just take some tylenol"
It does suck when you have a high tolerance for that stuff.
