I'm not sure if you are referring to what is going on in Egypt or not. In my opinion though we will see similar protests here in the U.S. within the next 5 to 10 years, if not sooner. As our liberties continue to be stripped away the people will gradually wake up to this reality. Most Americans for now are simply too concerned with things that don't matter in life. However, the current administration and the former one have been consistently retracting our liberties. The President recently signed an executive order that gives him the power to shut down the Internet without approval from the Senate or Congress. There are a number of other bills that have been signed into law that retract liberties as well but I won't mention them all here. The sad truth is that freedom is at risk, and it has been for a while. The TSA is the most obvious invasion of our liberties, the fourth amendment to be specific. But the bottom line is that we will see similar protests here in the U.S., and I am betting it will come sooner than many expect. Inflation is here even though the media and politicians lie and say it's not. Food prices have skyrocketed along with fuel and every other commodity. However, there is no complaint from the media since their man is in office. When gas prices hit close to $3.00 per gallon under Bush the media went wild, accusing him of being in bed with the oil companies. Well, now gas prices are well over $3.00 per gallon and not a word from the pathetic media. It wouldn't be a big deal if people were not asleep and actually paid attention to what is going on. Unfortunately, we live among sheep that have no understanding of politics much less even care. The average person doesn't even understand what inflation is much less realize when it arrives. Sadly, I don't see anything positive in the short run. We have Republicans in office who are just as much for big government as the Democrats. They give a whole lot of lip service but no action. All we hear about is repealing the health care bill, but really all they want to do is make changes to it so it is their version of a health care bill, yet still bankrupting the country. Why Americans continue to fall for either party is beyond me. Why it is so hard to judge politicians by their actions instead of their words is also beyond my understanding. It is so easy to merely judge actions and ignore rhetoric. But more important, Americans need to understand what they personally stand for as an individual, and also what the Constitution says. Then, punish the politicians at the voting booths when they do not go along with what best represents their interests. Some believe that is what happened on election day, however many of those voted in office are no better than those they replace. In addition, it will only take a matter of months or a couple of years for most of the freshmen to sell their souls and join the other thugs in Washington. That is how it is done, they get in office and promise to be different, then they learn the ropes from others who show them the way, and they roll over on the citizens of the country. Almost everyone of them is or will be pathetic scum with no morals or principles whatsoever.

i also read on online piece where donw in Houston they are doing random traffic road blocks and harrassing each driver, bs about searches etc., and to top it off the Cops wear black fckn masks, what total f'n bullshyte, gosh wonder why, u can't identify you're accuser perhaps, that disgusts me

imho, most people love there families and desire to work hard etc., what the internet is showing everyone is how deep corruption is

I'm down with a peaceful succession from those states that have ran themselves into the shitter with all the legislation, taxing the job providers out of being as good of job providers, and even flat out of business.
Our government truly believes that government can solve and sustain the American machine, e.g. industry, housing, the whole fukin rest of the world that's got themselves in worse shape than us because they've been in the state that we're heading.

Well, capitalism isn't always pretty. But it's proven the strongest method of economics. It's a self checking & balancing system. Nothing's perfect though.
And to get back to The Republic we were. Man...That would be amazing! Life for Americans would be so nice. Adults would finally have our liberties back. A full sense of, well, not just a sense of, but full responsibility back.
That along with complete self dependance. e.g. oil/petro, industry, etc etc etc...

lol, i was writing a reply when power went off, 90% of business's in dallas are shut down, streets solid ice, 20 degree's and rolling blackout all over the metroplex, we've had 3 so far today, of course i got out and drove lol, i'm not some redneck who's never driven in ice


imho, police or army would not do another kent state, one thing that's true is american citizens are extremely well armed, and who would be at greatest risk, politicians and bankers, the thing is there would be nowhere for them to hide, hell, there on facebook, u can look up there address on google, these folks are extremely exposed

TweetI've got a feeling that the US's days are numbered as a super power. Our "leaders" have failed us and the people in general are increasingly aggitated and fed up.
The deal over in Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan and Yemen looks very reminiscent of the Muslim take over in the time of the Crusades.
