My sister in law has one and she absolutely loves it! She uses it all of the time and it came with a recipe book that she uses to. I have things that she has made with it and they have been great. I think it is worth it!
TweetAnyone have a vitamix? My wife is looking at them. Are they worth the money and do you use it often?

Tweeti got ot look into this. sounds interesting
TweetWife was watching it on QVC today. They got in on cheaper than anywhere else. Think we are going to get one. They put a whole apple in a smoothie and it even liquified the seeds.

Best purchase I ever made and also the smartest. I don't follow their recipes instead I try to make leafy greens smoothies but cut it with fruit.
- half of apple
- around 12-16 oz of spring water
- 1 carrot
- maybe 1/4 of a clump of organic baby spinach stems - the whole thing.
- some dandelion greens
- maybe 1 or 2 kale leaves
if its too strong I'll add some frozen fruit concentrate 2 tbls.
other times I'll use ginger, garlic, low gi fruits, seasonal greens.
other times I'll make a raw garlic aioli
- around 4 ozs of spring water
- a little bit of olive oil.
- 1 whole organic lemon with skin
- and as much raw organic garlic as I can stand 3-5 gloves. At 5 gloves you get aboot 5 grams of allicin
- a little concentrated fruit juice.
Bro they a special attachment, another container, that can make bread with. You can start with winter wheat berries and grind em then add other ingredients and work the dough. Talk aboot unprocessed eh! you get all of the wheat berry with nothing stripped away. I lost that other attachment.
Also vitamix does offer open box and reconditioned units.

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
TweetCool. We got the vitamix on the way! Can't wait to try it. We already have a separate grain mill. We buy wheat berries in 45 lbs buckets and my wife makes bread with it.

TweetGot the vitamix yesterday. For breakfast I had a smoothie with:
10 egg whites
1/2 cup dry oatmeal
1/2 banana
Strawberries
Blueberries
Cranberries
Spinach
It blended it all to a pure liquid texture, no chunks. I love this thing.
