HORSE, ITS A MARLIN 795 STAINLESS WITH 10 SHOT CLIP...GREAT LITTLE BEGINNER GUN BUT NOT MANY AFTERMARKET CLIPS MADE FOR IT LIKE A 1022 OR OTHERS
TweetI've looked at those. I haven't held one.
I have the regular ole Marlin Model 60. Tube fed auto. It's been a great .22.
I was thinking that I was going to have to get one of those little .22s for my 6yr old, but after thinking back...I remember shooting the .22 at her age. She'll need a prop until she grows into it, but that's how ya end up shooting a .22 anyway. As your girl in the pics.
Did yours shoot that rifle when she was smaller?..or another regular size .22?
TweetThat is awesome. I wish i had the property to just go and target shoot.
Unfortunately for me, i have to either go upstate ny to my cousins or join a range which is an hour away
TweetHORSE, SHES SHOT THIS ONE FOR A WHILE. THE SYNTHETIC STOCK MAKES IT EXTREMELY LIGHT.
TweetI didn't think about that. The weight seems to be the biggest issue with the Model 60, and my little girl.
It's been a good while since I've seen how she does aiming it. It's probably been a good 6months-yr maybe. She might be grown into it allot better now.
That's what I need to do. Instead of wasting money on one of those little kid's rifles, I could go ahead with a 795. She'd dig the heck out of that! That'd be a nice addition under the tree this yr.
Mossberg, if I'm not mistaking, is producing .22s just like Marlins. They're almost identical. I'd go with another Marlin though. My Model 60 has been a great little rimfire.
TweetLove the pics...my girl is away at college now and it brought back some really good memories.
Thanx
Tweetthats cool brother. my son and i like to shoot as well
looks like a really good clear cut to shoot. wish we had a big open area to go. someone started buiding a house about a 1/4 mile from my father in laws property. no more shooting there dammit
