Tweetouch. My teeth hurt just reading that post Js.hah..
TweetI do get medical benefits and the G.I Bill. Plus I get disability. I don't have a family so it's just me so there are no worries there. I'm struggling that's for sure, but my personal beliefs to me are more important than money.
TweetI commend you for that. It's too bad politicians aren't as serious about their views.
Take advantage of the GI BIll. I used 17 months of mine to finish my bachelors, and still have 19 months remaining. I plan to go back in the next year most likely to get a masters, which will almost be completely paid for with the GI Bill. But now they have the far better post 911 GI Bill, thus if you choose that option you will yield much greater benefits. Or perhaps you are already. I have to say that the GI Bill was the best investment I ever made. I contributed $1200 originally, then another $600 for the top up to it which added $150 per month to the full time payout. And thus far, I have already received about $17,000 in payout from it. What a deal huh!
Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. George Washington
