TweetI preffer just regular shaver never used a electric before
TweetAnyone shave their face with an electric shaver? I have been thinking about switching to one. I get ingrown hairs on my neck if I shave everyday with a razor. My facial hair is this and fast growing too. I've looked online at electric shavers and the ones ranked best have good and bad reviews. Any of you have a reccomendation for an electric shaver and any tips?

TweetI tried electric before. I just stick with a razor too.
I just got a new Gillette Fusion Power. It's black and blue with better blade. and pre-blade-area, as well as after the blades is a better thing for your skin.
Try Aveeno shave gel. Get the sensative. no fragrance. Just a suggestion. That razor os worth it's weight in gold too.
I don't have a thick, fast-growing beard though. I can get by with eod. I'll go 3 days sometimes. Have a light beard for a day or 2. It goes with my new tighter do. I buzz my head with a (1) all over now. skint. damn right.
Tweetas i have gotten older my beard has become coarser. its like shaving thousands of tiny pencil leads growing out of my face (well not that bad)
i used a norelco 3 head razor for a while (xmas gift from the wife) i liked it for the most part but it didnt shave neck hairs well and then if it did shave them i was prone to ingrown hairs.
back to the dependable mach 3 turbo
Tweeti i use
Tweeti use to battle with razor burn etc with using a blade but electric shavers would never get me close enough a shave. For the past 4/5 yrs I've been using a norelco with the shaving lotion button u squeeze out while u shave. Works great, close shave, no razor burn, etc. I like it enough I keep buyin new blades instead of a new razor. If ur interested I'll get u the name of it when I'm home.
TweetI use a remington electric razor. I use it more for speed and convenience than closeness. I have found that shaving with a regular razor works well, but man it hurts if the hair gets the least bit long and mine grows fast as well.
With that being said, I have not found an electric razor yet that gets the neck hair completely. I always have to go back with a regular razor and nip those ones the electric missed. I don't get razor burn with the electric and that I like. A regular razor might get a little closer, but if your facial hair grows fast, is that really that big of a deal?
I still have a regular razor that I will use from time to time...like if we go out or something and I want that closer smoother feeling. But for every day work and home duty, I use the electric. I have had it now for years and years without spending a dime on it....

TweetI take that back....I bought a set of 20.00 blades and screens for it a year ago. That was after about 6-8 years service.

TweetYep, i made the switch from straight razor to electric. Often from the razor i would get razor burn so bad that I couldn't bear to shave the following day. Was using Mach 3 at the time with the lubricating strip and skin sensitive cream.
Did some research and bought this https://www.amazon.com/Braun-7-790cc-...5606040&sr=1-1
A bit costly and you still need to buy the cleaning solution but overall, i like it. No more burn.
Keep in mind as well that,if you do change, it takes your face/skin a few weeks to adjust to the electric and, over time, you should get closer shaves
TweetThey make some stuff called "Electrashave" or something that is for electric razors that supposedly gives you a closer shave....but I have not tried it.
