TweetOkay, let me first explain that, I guess, you can call me a rebel. You see, we are supposed to wear either long sleeve coveralls or short sleeve shirts/pants for uniforms. Unfortunately, my pants and shirts don't fit worth a shit so I wear my older coveralls with the sleeves cut off. In addition, my job requires me to steam clean the engines, trannies, and drive systems of the buses. But I don't wear any type of safety attire (knee high boots, head gear, apron, and steaming gloves) mostly due to the hot weather here in Cali. Besides, after nearly 10 years on the job, I've seldom burned myself at the steam rack. And whenever I did, it was never as the steamer nor was it severe enough to miss any days at work.

But recently, a company representative appeared at our division to give us a sweet little speech about "proper work" attire. Basically, telling us that we are supposed to wear ONLY the uniforms that are provided to us. Our coveralls are dark blue but many of my coworkers are still wearing their old white ones with the sleeves cut off. Of course, all coveralls have to be long sleeved but of course, I wear the bicep breathers. We all found it pretty funny that all of a sudden, someone from L.A. gives a half a damn to come here to relay that speech to us.

After getting a few coworkers opinions, I, eventually, learned from one that the visit and speech was all because of 2 women with whom we work. As he put it, "They keep coming here dressed in those tight ass shirts or half a tops and showing off their t*ts." Apparently, these two women, both in their early to mid-30's and semi-hot looking, began reporting to work wearing rather provocative and somewhat revealing tops. In addition, they would wear their coveralls with the top zipper down to reveal their tops. One of the women work on my shift and basically, she wears rather snugged t-shirts. The other is on the graveyard shift and her tops are a little more revealing.

When my coworker told me that, I was like, "What the hell is the big deal about that?" [I don't mean that as sarcasim nor as a sexist remark.] My attitude is that it's their clothes and their bodies. If they want to wear that, FINE! If someone has a problem with it that it seems to divert their attention away from their job duties, then that's something that that individual have to deal with. It's not the women fault. My guess is that another woman, probably older, made the complaint to the company or our supervisor.

Maybe it's just me but usually when I'm at work or at the gym, I see alot of hot looking women. YES, I'm a full blooded heterosexual man who loves women. But when I'm training or working, I would notice them and carry on what I'm doing. Mind you, I've already noticed both women coming to work wearing sexy skirts. When I saw them, I thought to myself, "DAMN, that's hot" but went on about my job. :_lol: That was it!

Lastly, I wish to apologize to any and every female members here if, by chance, they are offended by what was said in my thread for I mean absolutely NO offense whatsoever

That's the funny thing about this matter, it passed as quick as it was delivered to us. Everyone is still wearing white coveralls, sleeveless coveralls, and as for me, still the same...NO SAFETY CRAPOLA. And the two women who come to work wearing tight t-shirts and halter tops? Gladly, that never changed either. LOL Although I must admit, the late 30-something coworker with the tight tees usually work near the steamer section where I work. And there are times when I'm sitting on my next bus and preparing to drive it forward to the steam rack when I'd notice her either getting on her bus or cleaning her bus and all I can do is look and say, "DAMN!" What can I say? She's a MILF!
