TweetMach 3 blades and Edge gel...have used a quatro, but I like the mach 3 better.
TweetWell, I have been using an electric razor for years now and it is starting to play out on me. So, I am thinking about going back to a regular razor. So, what are your opinions? What is the best?

TweetNivea for men gel; smells great and I learned that shave cream is bad for the skin while gel will help moisturize it.
Schick Quad seems to work for me without any cuts.
Although I have a cordless electric razor, I really hate using them. I have yet to find one that don't feel like it's pulling the hair from my face, as opposed to shaving it.
TweetI like the gillette fusion, blades are expensive, but I use them for my head and face--work great. I'm not picky about my shaving gel/cream, although the new edge moisturizing is nice so far
Tweethands down. Do a comparison, if you need, like I ended up doing after going through the different ones.
The best. Hands down, is the Gillette Fusion Power. Make sure you get the Power. I had the regular Fusion 1st, and that vibration makes it cut even closer, and like a, well, power clipper or something. The vibration from the buzzing acxtually cuts too. The Gillette Fusion Power is the best on the market. The blades are closer together so it doesn't cut you like the Mach 3 can. I love it. I just bought my 2nd one yesterday because the one I've had for well over a year has been cutting out on me. And once you've experienced the Power, you can't do without that extra cut from the vibration.
Get one. You won't be dissapointed.
I use Aveeno unscented shaving cream. My skin is alittle sensitive. That Aveeno does great against razor burn and bumps.
That's my razor/cream combo of choice.
Try Schick's best razor. It has little wires that run across the blades, and hair gets stuck between those useless wires and the blades making it not cut worth a damn.

TweetI really like the mach 3 and the edge extra sensitive gel. I had a fusion and really gave it a go and while you do get a nice close shave i got worse razor burn and it felt like someone was ripping the hair out of my face. Ill stick with the mach 3 smooth against the skin and a great shave.
TweetHmmm...okay. I'll try the Mach 3 and the Gillette Fusion Power. I have really sensitive skin too, so the gel I choose will be important.

TweetThe Mach 3 is a good one too. I used it for years, but once I tried the Fusion, with the closer blades and 2 more of them as well. I had to switch. I get the opposite as james. The Mach 3 lets my skin get between the blades easier than the Fusion with the closer set 5 blades, so the Mach 3 burns, and cuts, me easier. The Mach 3 was my fav for years though. Now, the Fusion Power with Aveeno gel.
TweetYou do need a better gel with the Fusion. That Aveeno is a little thicker. It puts a nice protection between your skin and all those blades. That probably would've helped me with the Mach3. I used Gillette gel when I was still in my Mach3 days.
TweetI was mach 3 for years, then did a year with the Fusion...love the Fusion, but it seems like the blades went dull faster than mach3. Im back to mach3 now. Never tried Fusion Power..that must run on batteries if it vibrates.
Tweetanyone ever try a straight razor and the brush on shaving cream...i did that a couple times when i was about 19...looked like i got in a fight with a cat!!! after 2 times i figured this aint an activity i want to learn as i go!

TweetI like the Fusion and Edge gel. I shave my head as well as my face, and I find it to be a great all around combo.

TweetIt does run on 1 AAA. The Mach3 has a Power also, if I'm not mistaking. Try it out. The vibrating makes it cut better and closer. You'll dig it the first time you run it down your face. You'll feel it literally cutting the hairs instead of just the stroke of your hand doing all the cutting. It's cool. Like I said. Once you go with that power razor, you can't do without that buzzing. It's like it's not shaving worth a shit if you don't turn it on, or run out of battery. so get a pack of triple As. A battery lasts a good couple/3 months or so.
