TweetEvery few seconds it pops up. It says "antivar residence shield"...saying I have viruses on my computer that need to be deleted. I called verizon and he told me my computer is infected with MALWARE, and i would have to take it in to the shop. Surely there must be a way to get rid of this..does anyone know? This shit is frustrating as f***

TweetE got one of those anti-virus virus. It claimed he had a virus and he needed to update his virus software. When you click on the update, it asked for a credit card. The next thing you know it downloads a virus and they charge you card.
I had to call the credit card company and file a fraud report to get it taken off our card. Thankfully I stop the virus before it download to his computer.
It acts like it's Norton 360 anti-virus. They call it "Antivirus 360" or "AV 360 Virus".

TweetJust do as DS suggested. It is a gimmick to sell you their software to remove their virus.
Just restore your computer to a time before it was infected.
Push it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!
Take nothing I say as serious, What do I know, I sell water!!

TweetI use a laptop mostly along with my Hero. Can do just about anything on it. txing can be alittle draining at first.
TweetIf I only knew how to do that. I dont know how. I was in the shop yesterday where I bought it and talked to a couple customers and they told me those things are about impossible to get rid of...The guy at the shop said I would need to leave it there for a day. That sux. Im on my work computer now. You would think if there was some type of tech support via the phone, they would make a fortune. Im sure its something , someone could walk me through. I have AVG on my computer and it scans daily for viruses. This came on while I was on facebook trying to upload a pic.
TweetTHANKS!I went there and there wasnt anything I could load on. Maybe I am doing it wrong, but here was no program there to run.
TweetGo to download.com and search for malware. It should come up and is a free download.
As far as restoring back to a certain date, this should be under your programs>accessories>system tools....there is a system restore option that will ask you to enter a date. Just enter a date previous to the issue.
