TweetAcromio-Clavicular Ligament, where the acromian process meets the clavicle. But have never heard it refered to as ACL usually referred to as A-C joint. ACL of the shoulder? No, but I bet this guy hopes there is an ACL in the shoulder
TweetFrom what I remember in school, the ACL is in the knee, correct? We have a co-worker that is a hypochondiac and he is now on light duty walking around with his shoulder in a sling. He is telling everyone that the doctor said he tore or hurt his "ACL" in his shoulder. Am I missing something? Is there something in the shoulder that the doctor's would refer to as "ACL?" We always think that he fakes stuff to try and either get off work or get attention with his ultimate goal being permanent disability so he can sit on his lazy butt at home and get paid. What do you guys know about the ACL?

TweetWell, he had surgery on his rotator cuff last year on the opposite shoulder and was out 6 months. There is ALWAYS something wrong with this guy. Not to mention that he is just lazy as hell and works harder at getting out of work than actually doing the work. It drives us crazy....but we are unionized, so he is protected.

TweetThose kinds of guys are out there. taking advantage of the system, big time. Hoping to find a doctor that will say "Damn, dude, you are totally fuc ked up in every way"...that would be like gettin a winning lottery ticket...LOL
TweetWell consider him a winner! He went through 4 doctors last year until one of them told him what he wanted to hear

Tweetyea im with dzone on this one i have heard it refered to as an A-C joint but never heard a reference to an ACL in the should
Tweeti agree with dzone as well...that is the only thing that makes sense to me. I injured my a-c joint during swim season my junior year of college.... ACL anterior cruciate ligament is 1 of 4 major ligament that are in your knee. most acl tears are career enders for athletes.
