Tweetgreat movie. the media sucks and education is good....yep, you about summed it all up!
TweetSo Im not sure if anyone has seen this documentary but I will tell you this. I have been training for about 5yrs and I have never taken a break in training. I always work out about 5-6 days a week and I work 12hr days or more. I started off weighing 118lbs and now am currently 170lbs. I admit, at first I wasnt educated and am still currently in the process of about 1 yr study/research on gear, but I believed everything the news, ppl (ignorant ones any way), and media told me about steriods and the "dangers" associated with them. Well after doing all my research and watching this documentary its really funny how ppl dont really know alot about anabolic steriods and what they can really do, if they are not abused. Jesus, I wish I could really explain how I feel, especially since I have been looking into them for quite awhile and didnt want to jump on them like most ppl I know did becuase I didnt want to look like an effin retard and jump into something without the knowledge nessicary. I used to get really pissed at ppl who used gear because to be honest, I worked my ass off for 5 f*n years to get where I am now and I see ppl at 150lbs blast to 190lbs in about 5 wks and I about loose my mind. I gotta say, I now understand that everyone, genetically, can only go so far, but if you wanna take your training to the next limit, you gotta get educated and step it up. I dont know, what do all of you think about that? Am I in the ballpark or way off? O ps, the movie is great by the way if you havent seen it! I def recommend it!!

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
TweetYea, its really funny how ppl just go off what the media will tell them.
TweetThe media just throws bs fiction out to the public. I love it when a reporter interviews someone that's been on steroids for a long period of time, and the big question comes up. "How have steroids affected you?" The look on their face is priceless when they get the answer that they weren't expecting at all. It throws 'em for a loop. They just can't wrap their mind around the fact that someone could use steroids for decades with absolutely no physical or mental side effects. News Flash! anabolic steroids are life enhancement drugs. They are one of very few categories of drugs that literally extend a healthier, happier lifestyle.
People live 40-50yrs on very toxic drugs, like cholesterol meds, which the biggest name prescription meds for cholesterol are very liver toxic. People take 'em daily for life. But it's just crazy to think of someone taking the "toxic" oral 17aas.
Well informed glandular specialist doctors speak up on the positives of steroids rarely, but for some reason it's the average family doc that knows dik about AAS that shouts to the high heavens about the terrible effects of steroids, which are non existant and totally false. But that's what people hear. That's how they want to portray steroids.
TweetThe media makes the sound worse than they are, because if the media says they arent really that bad you are gonna have a lot of ignorant people ODing on the stuff. People are stupid, thats that.
TweetIf I'm not mistaken, I think someone posted something about this a few months ago. I've seen it on alot of boards though. Awesome documentary.
Tweet5 years, duh, how about 20 ? I grew up many generations of bodybuilders, I never touched steroids, though. indeed, I've seen many literally doubling their weight in a few months. Some of them are dead, some have bad health problems, some look better than me now.
Using steroids in a smart way can be beneficial, and in a few years, as I'm getting older, I will start some cycles too.
It's better to be a lion for a day than a sheep all your life.
By the way, the brainwashing media doesn't apply only to steroids, for example ephedrine is banned in us as being a nightmare for health, but from what I've read it has less side effects and more benefits than caffeine, for example (not talking about ECA). And this is just because it can be used to produce speed. Thank God I live in Canada and they are not so stupid to ban it (still) lol.
On the other hand, prohormones are allowed in us, some of them might be ok, but for most the side effects on the long term are still unknown.
We are living in a strange world, huh? Quoting Chris Bell, the real problem is not steroids, but being american.
TweetYou got that right, bro. I was natural from 1985-1990, 1991-1996 and lastly, 1998-2002. I busted my ass in the gym while natural and I can give you a whole list of crap that I fell for as "steroid alternatives".
As for guys I've seen growing overnight, maybe this isn't a personal experience but I can remember watching WWE when the late Eddie Guerrerro was out of wrestling for a couple of months for an injury. But upon his return, he was a good 40 or 50 pounds bigger and muscular.
Tweetdiablo-your dead on Bro
TweetIts funny that guy Bataista or whatever his name is, that guy disapeared from wrestling for awhile then he came back and admitted to using gear and got considerably smaller then he was out on an "injury" and came back jacked. Crazy stuff. I watched this other documentary on a dude who has been using gear for 50yrs and still currently uses gear and DAMN! That OG is in great shape and hasnt ever had any problems! Its comforting to hear!
