TweetI would do blu-ray if anything...
my father and I were sci-fi fans, mostly when I was kid he would take to the comic store, or to the theaters and see the sci-fi movies together... star trek was one fot hose series. He has driven down from Massachusetts, to see our new-born and him and I are going to see the movie this weekend to keep this father-son tradition going.
Tweetnow that'd give me reason to go and ot wait for the rental...have a good time dude

TweetDont be mad at me, but they would have to pay me to sit through that movie...I couldnt imagine anything worse. lmao
TweetI think it is actually going to be pretty good! Im not to sure about the story plot. I think it has to do with capt kirk before he was capt and how he got capt. The graphics are going to be killer
"Up to a point a man's life is shaped by environment, heredity, and the movements and changes in the world around him. Then there comes a time when it lies within his grasp to shape the clay of his life into the sort of thing he wishes to be. Only the weak blame parents, their race, their times, lack of good fortune, or the quirks of fate. Everyone has it within his power to say, 'This I am today; that I will be tomorrow.' The wish, however, must be implemented by deeds."
TweetMan I am a huge sci-fi fan and trekkie (watched all the series except for deep space nine) and the story line just seems too unbelievable that a guy in his 20's find himself as captain for the first intergalactic starship. I'm mean I've heard that it is a battle field promotion but still; he'd almost have to be the only one left for him to be captain - just hard to believe. The plot just seems a little too convenient but I'll probably still see it when it comes out on dvd.
