      When you are in a restaurant, do you have to always sit facing the door? Fuzo does not like to sit with his back to the door! Is this something men do? My father and my brother are the same way. I had read that men do this as a 'protection' thing and I once read that they call it the "caveman syndrome". I find it kind of interesting!

      yeah, I know I like to be where I can have the drop on things. More comfy that way. I'll choose a corner table or near the wall, and I like to be where I have a clear view of everything.

      In any situation I want to view an exit and the room in general.
      Several years ago there was a bar scuffle that I managed to deflect from our table as the two guys kinda shoved and wrestled towrds us.
      If I'd been facing away they would have crashed into the two girls backs and then onto their champagne flutes.
      I'm with him...I want to see it coming.

      I do always sit in a place where the majority of the space is in front of me. If near a wall, I always sit with my back to the wall. But I never request to be seated at a table near the wall - whatever table we get is fine - but this is always what I do when we get to the table though.

      It is from wanting to be able to view all my surroundings. After bouncing for 20+ years, I instinctly view a room from one side to the other upon entering. Quickly size up the potential trouble makers and make a mental note of where they are. Facing front allows me to see who enters a room or who leaves. It gives me an advantage should anything start or start coming my way.

      My Dad was this way. Thankfully I've never been through any rough experiences like prison that have scarred me. But I still can't face a wall in a restaurant. Don't necessarily have to face the door, but just can't face a wall.
