Tweetwell if we are worse off after 4 years then we will have an opportunity to vote a new person in.... i personally hope we are in better shape in 4 years i think our economy goes in cycles and this happens to be a bad one.

My ? is i know there is a lot of folks on this board that have very strong feelings about who they voted for so seeing this as a speculation thread lets say the country is stronger in four years lets say the deficit is lower, stock market is back up housing is better, then what? Still quote main stream media and all the reason why he got elected? or say wow the country is better thank goodness we pulled through... bottom line this is the best country in the world i love being here just as everyone else does i hope.. The country has been through worse and has always come out for the better... Now main stream media is a double edge sword we love to hear what is happening in the world, but i think they are a driving force in what is happening with the economy they are scaring the shit out of everyone stock market this stock market that this person is connected to this person that did this and that... these people are begging to be bailed out but flew in private jets .... my lord.... give it a rest let people do there jobs and report something that motivates the country and the people that put in 10 to 12 hours busting there asses to put food on the table....

Here is the real question. obama ran on a taxation platform and asked people to embrace it. Now he is saying that he will not adopt this platform because the economy is in bad shape. This is an admission that his tax policies are detrimental to the growth of our economy. So now hes going to let the BUSCH tax cuts remain. How smart are obama supporters feeling now?

I don't know to be honest he has not been sworn in and has not brought his tax plan or a version of it up to a vote... so i have no opinion until he is in and something changes... my post really was not about Obama and to be honest i am not going to go back and forth with trying to defend him or his views or plans he got elected lets see what he does for the country if we are worse off in four years I will be the first to say damn he sucked if he does well for the country i will feel good about my decision to vote for him...If McCain had won i would say the same, lets see what he does if he fails i would say he failed if he did well for the country i would say i my opinion of him was wrong and i am glad he did well for us, its that simple...

A good point. The last time wage warfare/punishing the rich was during FDR. The top tax bracket was 91%. JFK lowered it to 70% and revenues flowed into the gov. For some reason (and maybe on solid advice) obama is not going to steer away from the bush tax cuts. If he does, he will be a bigger bafoon then hoover.
