Tweetthis is great!!!
way to go!!
TweetHi All,
A member here brought this to our attention on how people do not really support our troops. Although there are people here that have done so, I have never participated in something like this, because I was unaware of such organizations. I found this one, and my family and I are now waiting to hear who our soldier is so we can start sending things. This is something that would be great to do at anytime as well as the holidays coming up. We all can spare some money and send something to our troops who have done so much for each and everyone of us, and if money is a problem, you can send letters or cards and all it will cost you is postage. if anyone has other ideas, please share.

Tweetsad thing is baby1 the support for our troops is at it's lowest right now. funny how the lack of a national tragedy fades from people's minds very quickly

TweetTrixie and myself are monthly supporting many Veteran charities. I think wounded Warrior seems to be the coolest. Baby please let us know how the soldier wish list works out.

TweetI already have one. A friend of mine's son. She does not have much $$$ (Her husband passed from the cancer) so we send him care packages as he is like a nephew to us.
I call him my pet Marine. He lets me bust his chops and does not put a dent in my head. He is only a couple years older than my boy and they pal around too.
Tweettheir is nothing better than when you are deployed to get a care package. i used to feel so bad for the guys that didnt get mail or never got any mail while we were deployed and yes their was a lot of those guys. i always shared my stuff with those guys. people dont understand the pick me up it gives when you get something from state side

TweetWe did this back in 2008, but I don't remember too much about it. I felt it was important for our daughter to learn to respect the troops. That was ingrained in my family from my parents. I'm waiting to hear back from this. On another note..GREAT to hear from you both

TweetWe sent him a pack before he came home with danner socks, E.L. Fudge cookies, and toiletries. When he got back he gave us both big hugs. The smile on his face is worth it, plus like I said he might as well be family.
