Tweethuh...sound pretty good. what day is it?
TweetAs a child, I remember quite a few things. Most of them are fond memories and here is one... My mom is the last of ten children. I had so many aunts uncles ans cousins it would make your head spin.
I remember helping my grandmother with making pizza dough, putting it in a pot the size that would feed an army and waiting for it to rise. Once it did, my grandmother would take some dough and spread it... not like you see on TV were its spread thin... deep dish thickness and approx 8" wide (don't get excited quirky) Then she would put it in a pan of hot olive oil and fry it. After she pulled it out of the oil, all the toppings were applied... tomato sauce, mozzerela cheese, ricotta cheese... Once I was a teen, my mom made this maybe once month. Every one of my friends wanted to know what date this was. Of course they were invited and I looked forward to it also. It is a delite to the palate and a unique taste.
So if you want a special treat, fry your pizza!
