I have a question to all of you about the economy and presidential elections.
Does it seem that every four years when we hold presidential elections, the economy always seems to take a downward spiral? Is this just nervous concern by the markets and investors as to whom the next prsident will be and what their economic polocies will be, or is it a market correction that tends to happen every 4-5 years?
In my humble opinion, it always seems to happen on presidential election years , so it seems to be a concern by the market and investors as to the new president, his cabinet and his economic policies. It seems that after an election, within 6-8 months, the economy tends to straighten itself out and grow at a normal rate,3.5-4.0% per year.
What is your opinion?
