Tweet...to cover the tat I have on my right shoulder. I imagine this new tat will have to be pretty big to cover the old one. The guy doing it is the best in Charlotte and did the one I have on my left shoulder blade. I'm just going to let him draw on me a see what happens.

Tweetya def post a pic, I got a gay ass tribal that I want to cover up but don't know what or if it's possible bein it's bout the size of a softball in the middle of my back
Tweetaw man, I hope that you haven't let people that go around knocking tribal make you feel that way about your tat.
And Scalleywag, good luck with the new piece. Are you giving the artist any ideas, or are you just totally letting him dream it up?
TweetSo I went yesterday and we tried to figure out how to make it work. In the end we couldn't come up with anything either of us liked that would cover the old one. So now I am going to have the old tat lasered and start all over.
I have my daughters name on my left shoulder blade in a way you can't tell its her name unless I point it out. I want my son's name on my right shoulder done the same way. He's going to add some stuff to my daughter's name to make them flow.
I feel good about the route were going to end up with both sides the same style and something I love. I'll post pictures of the progress.
TweetI don't think I'd go through the exense of having the old one removed just to start over man. Check out some stuff online to get an idea of what overall design you want and then take it to your artist and have him draw somethin up for ya.
TweetProblem is, to cover this one I am going to have a big black blob on my back. All I have to do is have one maybe two laser treatments to break up some of the balck ink. Then he'll have a little better space to work with.
Tweetwow, that sounds like a lot of work...good luck . Hope it goes good
