TweetIVE ALSO WAS WATCHING THAT TRIP AND YEAH
TweetOkay, i watch too much tv. Anyways a year ago, glen beck got on this kick about problems at the border, kidnapping etc.
I listened yet didn't pay to much attention.
He talked alot about laredo, on the tex/mex border.
Last week, in juarez, right butted up too el paso, in the great state of texas, the mexican feds brought in 2500 troops to fight the cartels, i've been reading about it, it's crazy stuff, crazy
so now we got, laredo, juarez, and one more and we should have a light bulb go off somewhere, and then they can begin to avoid it, and watch it grow until it is totally out of hands, i give it 12-16 months before it's really bad.

Tweetthe border states are, and have always been a problem unless you have lived down there you really dont know the extent of the problem.
Tweetmerc, i think it's the escalation, on the verge of getting bad, not good for anyone
im in big d, and been across the border several times
i think i also saw a news report where tijuana almost shut down, no torrists will go there now, and the hard working biz folks are decimated, all due to lawlessness of cartels
Tweetyep merc, very good point. The city officials, government, media, play down this sorta thing.
I saw a thing about the Mexican cartels brutally killing some genre of music groups that jam songs about the lifestyle of those cartels. They said that the brutality and style of the killings was worse than the stuff you see from our mafia.
Tweetbefore I moved up to where I am now I lived maybe 5 mins from the border and there was always trouble on both sides. I always hoped that someone would pay attention to the situation but when the idea of enforcing the borders comes up we get groups that protest it.
