That's what stress will do to you. I feeling the same way. My commute time just double because I moved out of state. I'm dragging a$$ every morning, and some mornings it's all I can do to hold my head up. I don't like to drink coffee, so I've been drink Coke Zero's to help me out... not helping much.

Same thing here bro. I can nod off at the computer in the morning if not careful. I miss the days when I could get up and just go... Now its a process that involves coffee and several pep talks to get motivated. I am attributing a lot of it to the weather and weight gain (bulking). Some days are good but its hit or miss. So I am going to try and do more cardio and just hang in there till spring comes and see if it gets better. 27 is sure old

I've been that way forever. Vehicles can put me right to sleep even when I'm the one operating them. It's bad when you've been driving and can't remember most of the drive because you were basically asleep. Very dangerous. I used to always nod out while driving when I was always on the road. And I don't know if you're the same way, but when I got that tired, there wasn't anything I could do to snap out of it. I had to just pull over if I could. That's all you can do. Pull off and wink out for about 10minutes and I was good to go. The all mighty power nap will get you thru. But most the time people can't just pull over and take a power nap because everybody's running on a schedule. You gotta try and fit a nap into your day somewhere. Either that or hit the sack an hour earlier and see if that does the trick. You might be setting yourself up for the major sacrifice if you don't get a hold on that. That winking out behind the wheel ain't no joke brotha.
I don't remember doing it that often in the morning. It was usually later in the day and especially in the evening if I had a long drive home.

I was talking to this coach the other day about the same thing. he doesn't get much sleep at all during the season.

He said learning the sleep cycle helped him. Since a sleep cycle is approx. every 90 minutes, it is best to sleep in 90 minute increments. If he wakes up and sees he can't complete another sleep cycle he gets out of bed.

The 7-10 minute power nap helps too. Wake up before you hit REM. I didn't realize that it was 90 minutes though. I thought once you entered REM sleep that you needed a "full night's" worth of sleep.
