The line, somethings happen for a reason, is the most simplistic, idiotic, observation an dumb human can or could make. If you would have paid attention in the second grade you would have learned what goes up must come down. You would have also learned that the same man who said that, also stated that for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction (Third Law of Motion).

Now to make it even more idiotic, lets add: "somethings fall apart so others can come together." This is the same statement reworded to sound more cleaver than its already "not-so-cleaver" counterpart. Obviously some one wasn't paying attention in physics class or maybe they were but they were too stupid to understand. The second law of thermodynamics is an expression of the universal law of increasing entropy. In simple terms, it is an expression of the fact that over time, differences in temperature, pressure, and density tend to even out in a physical system that is isolated from the outside world. Entropy is a measure of how far along this evening-out process has progressed. The people that spout this off should walk up to the surviving victims of 9/11 and look them in the eye and say that. Even better go to Hiroshima, Japan and spout your "words of genius" off to the elders.

How ignorant do we need to be. How many times are people going to use this excuse when things go wrong in their life? Because that is exactly what it is, an excuse. I feel bad for the people who say this, because statements like this is an overly abused opiate. An opiate that numbs them from the reality that is to come after making a mess of not only their life's but the life's of people around them.
