Default What would you have done different??

Ive been thinking about the last 7 years or so (2 serious) that I have been working out. I first started for sports and to get "big" However neglected food the right way and overall cardio.

So I guess I would have waited to take aas till late 20's and focused more on diet and overall symmetry instead now later in life when I have more going on than just school and lifting.

What would you guys do different if you HAD THE CHANCE, and I dont want to hear "nothing"....lol

I neglected my legs for so long because I was a catcher in college and played 3 sports in HS as well. So it was bench, curls and back all the time. My legs were good while I was in sports in hs and college but then 2-3 years after I neglected them as I always thought they were "ok"...Well then I grew up top like crazy and now have to build the bottom to match. I think I would have worked out more evenly then just what I wanted to that day. There were weeks I hit arms and chest 3 times a week cause I though more was better....lol Now I barely do both.

i just started doing this to get un-fat...i was BAAAD...but as i got going, and see changes, i kept striving for more...the one thing i did right i think, and probobly becouse i started at an older age, is legs...there not great by anymeans, but i read alot about bodybuilding before i touched a wieght...while i was trying to loose fat, i read everything i could on bb.com...the one thing consistant was everyone talking about NOT neglecting your legs...so i had squats in my program since day 1...i never could move a ton of weight, but my legs aernt bad. i see these kids at the gym that look pretty jacked from the waist up, but legs?...man, their small...some are like a chick!

I would have been more serious when lifting, I would have asked on the proper way to do exercises for legs, (my first workout partner always bailed on leg day so I never learned proper technique) I would have waited for my first cycle until I was 21 and read up more instead of taking someones advice.

I wish I'd started earlier on, waited a little longer on aas and gone to Ohio to train with Louie and the crew before I had kids and a serious job.

I would have continued to train as a triathlete and not worried about getting big. Now I am itching to do triathlons again and have to loose all this freakin' weight.

Definately taken diet more seriously, do more cario to avoid the fat phases I went thru.....that's about it. I think for the last 6-7 years my training has been spot on, it's my diet and cardio that holds me back.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

stuck to the game plan better. if i planned a 10 weeker it would be 16 before i went off. I hated going off.

also not went out so much, partying, staying out late drinking, not resting. felling like **** in the morning and taking days off.

well, since i started in 1975.................

find someone like Iron Addict, to teach me the right way for EXACTLY WHAT I WANT now and long term

i'd say, while i'll loved the whole ride, and have done well and met most of my goals, probably could have gotten there twice as fast with better results with Expertise Advice on my journey

thus where as now, imho, i know about as much as there is too know too put me in the top 5% of people on earth as far as knowledge and habit goes, i'm no where nears an expert in that there is some lack of knowledge in some area's, like, kineseology, bodies endocrine systems, bodies chemical make-up etc. , which would help in breaking new barriers as opposed to trial and error

I wouldn't have put on the freshman 40 my first year of college. I would have tried to stay as lean as possible. I still would do my first cycle at age 24. I would have tried just Test Enanthate instead of Sustanon.
